Bjorn Olatunde Lawal- Solarin is the Chief Executive Officer of Lantern Books, Literamed publications and founder of the Book Swap Foundation.
He is an award winning writer, trained in filmmaking, web design, graphic design and 3D animation.
Having started his journey in University College London, he travelled and lived in many European capitals; including Oslo, Paris, Berlin and London. He has a working knowledge of Norwegian, French and German as well as his native English tongue.
He has focused his study on culture, mythologies, religions and histories in order to understand the world around him. His visual landscape has included most major museums and art galleries whilst his language has been cultured through poetry, literature and languages.
His work in publishing has stretched from overseeing of the Editorial department to Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Human Resources and the development of a signature house style.
His vision is to take learning into the future by pulling references on the past and maintaining the core of universal knowledge whilst formatting it into a structure that will not only appeal to the next generation but align itself within their points of interest. He believes that there will always be a need for both books as well as digital support systems within learning. And is devising a way forward that will capitalize on all platforms available to children today.
